4.9 The final triumph of the kingdom of God

God's great day of triumph will come when the work of salvation is complete. The Bible begins with God's intentions for life, and ends with a description of how fantastic it will be when God's purposes are fulfilled, despite the fall of man.

In the fulfillment:

Human fellowship with God will have grown from the daily visits in Eden to a continuous presence of God. The character of the Bride will have been developed and sanctified through the many temptations and sufferings of life. Those who are the Bride will have been trained to be able to reign with Christ. Eden's paradise has become an entire new city, which symbolizes the center of authority of the kingdom of God. The Devil has been exposed, disarmed and imprisoned for all eternity. His weapons of deceit, fear and death have been overcome by God's truth, love and eternal life. These are all represented by the life-giving stream of crystal clear water which flows out from the throne of God and of the Lamb.
